Cookie policy

This page lists every cookie and browser storage item AnyToExcel uses, what each one does, and how long it lasts, so you can see exactly what is kept on your device.

Last updated 15 October 2026

The short version

Cookies are used only to remember your language and keep you signed in. There are no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies.

What cookies are, and our approach

Cookies are small text files a website asks your browser to keep and send back on later visits. Local storage is a similar browser feature that keeps data on your device without sending it to the server automatically.

AnyToExcel uses cookies only where a feature cannot work without them: remembering the language you picked, and keeping you signed in. We use no analytics, advertising, social-media or other tracking cookies, and we load no third-party scripts that would set them. The fonts on the site are served from our own domain, so loading a page does not contact Google Fonts.

Cookies we use

All of the cookies below are first-party — set by AnyToExcel's own domain — and are strictly necessary for the feature they belong to. Most visitors who never change language or sign in receive none of them.

CookiePurposeDuration
NEXT_LOCALERemembers the language you chose (English, French or Arabic) so the site opens in it on your next visit. Set only when you pick a language or open a page in a specific language.1 year
authjs.session-tokenKeeps you signed in. Holds your Google name, email address and profile picture, signed and encrypted so it cannot be read or altered in the browser. Large sessions may be split across several cookies with numbered suffixes.30 days without use, or until you sign out
authjs.csrf-tokenProtects sign-in and sign-out against cross-site request forgery.Until you close the browser
authjs.callback-urlRemembers which page to return you to after signing in.Until you close the browser
authjs.pkce.code_verifier, authjs.stateUsed only while you are signing in with Google, to verify that the response genuinely comes from Google and belongs to your sign-in attempt.15 minutes

On secure connections, browsers show some of these names with a __Secure- or __Host- prefix. That prefix tells the browser to send the cookie only over HTTPS; the purpose is the same.

Information stored in your browser

A few features use local storage instead of cookies. This data stays on your device and is not sent to our server:

KeyPurposeDuration
anytoexcel.history.v1Your recent conversion history: up to 50 entries with file name, format, row and column counts, time and outcome. Never the file itself.Until you clear it
anytoexcel.builder.v1The Table Builder draft you are working on, so it survives a page reload.Until you clear it
anytoexcel.styleWhether you prefer styled or plain spreadsheet output.Until you clear it

What we do not use

  • No analytics tools, such as Google Analytics, and no session recording.
  • No advertising or retargeting cookies, and no tracking pixels.
  • No social-media widgets or embeds that set their own cookies.
  • No cookies shared with or sold to anyone else.

Third-party cookies

When you sign in, you are sent to Google's own sign-in page. Google may set or read its own cookies there, under Google's privacy policy, not this one. Those cookies belong to Google's domain, and AnyToExcel cannot read them.

Controlling and deleting cookies

You stay in control of everything on this page:

  • Signing out deletes the session cookie.
  • Your conversion history can be cleared from the dashboard.
  • Your browser's settings let you view, block or delete cookies and site data for AnyToExcel, or for every site.

If you block cookies, the converters still work. You will not be able to sign in to the dashboard, and the site will open in English on each visit.

Changes and contact

This policy changes whenever the cookies we use change, and the date at the top of the page shows the last update. For how we handle personal information more generally, see the privacy policy. Questions go to support.datatoexcel@gmail.com.
